The home crowd erupted with joy as Elia opened the scoring in the 13th minute, setting the tone for a commanding performance. Nkurunungi Ashirafu extended the lead in the 33rd minute, igniting the fans’ fervor. Mudali Derrick showcased his aerial prowess by nodding in Charles’ precise cross in the 60th minute, further solidifying Kigezi HomeBoyz’s dominance.
Seremba Joseph showcased his skill with a stunning free-kick goal in the 65th minute, much to the delight of the roaring supporters.
Despite the formidable presence of Booma FC’s renowned striker, Niwamanya Dickson, Kigezi HomeBoyz Football Club asserted their dominance in the first half of the match. Our relentless attack and strategic gameplay allowed us to control the tempo of the game, creating numerous scoring opportunities and keeping the opposition on the back foot. Despite the threat posed by Niwamanya, our defensive line remained resolute, thwarting any attempts to breach our goal.
Though Booma FC fought back valiantly in the second half with goals from Dickson Niwamanya in the 49th and 70th minute, Kigezi HomeBoyz stood firm, thwarting any hopes of a comeback.
Rwothomio Kemis emerged as the standout player, earning the well-deserved title of Player of the Match for his exceptional performance at Centre Back throughout the game.
The crowd erupted into thunderous applause as fan-favorite Charles Waibi entered the fray in the 58th minute, immediately making an impact with an assist just moments after his introduction. He continued to dazzle, winning a direct free-kick that Seremba expertly converted into a goal. We can just conclude that he came back like he never left.
