Following Sunday’s big win against Ntugasaaze FC, Kigezi HomeBoyz FC will be keen on extending the run as they visit Gaddafi Fc at the Entebbe Works Playground, Entebbe today, as they seek to return to the peak of the log, Buhimba Saints having won 2-0 against Onduparaka FC yesterday to sit top.
The Gorillas beat Ntugasaaze FC 2-0 in their previous game and are targeting further glory.
Denis Tushabe’s charges sit second on the log with 3 points accumulated in their gigantic win over Ntugasaaze FC last Sunday, and today’ victory could see them return on top of the table.
However, we take on a Gaddafi side with whom we hold the battle for the championship, as they sit seventh with a point collected from their away in Ntungamo with Kaaro Karungi FC.
“We’ve done the preparations very well, just like we do for other matches,” head coach Tushabe Denis told the club media.
“The players are in a good health state and hope for the best. We are going to Entebbe Works Playground to fight for all points.”
“Its not going to be an easy game for us, it’ll be a tough one we know. But the hard work we shall put on the pitch will give us the results,” Tushabe added.
The Ball Sensor- Charles Waibi reiterated the need for hard work on the pitch for victory against the Gaddafi Side.
“I believe as the players, its time to wake up, fight for the badge and work harder on the pitch,” Charles told HomeBoyz Media.
“It’s all about the team picking up three points as we keep winning our games, because the league is still fresh.”
“We need to win our games, so I just ask the players to come in all, we keep fighting. Results are always made on the pitch, so, we just need to give 100%.”
This fixture marks the first-ever meeting between Kigezi HomeBoyz FC and Gaddafi FC. Gaddafi FC was recently relegated from the Uganda Premier League at the close of last season, setting the stage for an exciting clash as both teams aim to establish dominance early in the campaign.
