Injury Update: Seremba Joseph & others.

Kigezi HomeBoyz FC’s recent fixture against Blacks Power FC, which ended in a close 1-0 loss, took a toll on some of our players. During this match, our midfielder Seremba Joseph suffered a minor toenail injury after a forceful clash with one of the opposing players. The injury, although not severe, was significant enough to force him off the field around the 70th minute. Since then, our medical team has been closely monitoring his recovery to ensure he returns at full strength.

Seremba has been progressing through his rehab and has resumed training with the senior squad, though with some cautionary limitations. He has experienced a few minor setbacks along the way, but his determination to return has shown in his commitment to training. The medical team is optimistic and believes that if his recovery continues as planned, Seremba could be available for selection in Sunday’s anticipated clash with Kataka FC. However, his final match fitness will be assessed closer to the game to ensure he’s fully prepared.

In addition to Seremba, our squad has another player currently on the injury list. Ndajizimana Karim sustained a minor knee injury, but it is not expected to hinder his availability for the upcoming game. Karim has been working with the medical and fitness staff to manage his recovery, and barring any last-minute setbacks, he should be in the starting lineup on Sunday. The club’s medical staff remains vigilant in overseeing his condition to prevent any aggravation of the injury.

Beinomugisha Timothy continues his recovery journey from a long-term injury. His absence has indeed been felt by the team, and he is currently preparing for a surgery scheduled in the near future. With this, we expect him to rejoin us early in 2025.
