Kigezi HomeBoyz Academy Hosts Successful Parents’ Meeting at Al-Madinah Stadium
On Saturday, December 14, 2024, Kigezi HomeBoyz Academy hosted a highly successful Parents’ General Meeting at the iconic Al-Madinah Stadium. This event marked a key milestone in the club’s efforts to strengthen the relationship between the academy and the families of the young talents enrolled in our programs.
The meeting, themed “Annual General Meeting,” was well-attended by parents, academy staff, and key stakeholders. It kicked off with an opening prayer led by one of the parents, setting the tone for the day. Academy staff were introduced, and key updates were shared by the Chairperson, coaches, and senior team management. Of significant importance was the formation of a Parents’ Committee, designed to enhance collaboration and ensure parents play an active role in the academy’s growth.
The CEO of the senior team, in a special address, highlighted the immense value of sports in nurturing discipline, teamwork, and future opportunities for children. Parents were further encouraged to support the academy’s vision of establishing a self-sustained, community-based football club rooted in the Kigezi region.
In his remarks, the invited guest reiterated the vital role parents play in fostering the holistic development of their children and lauded the academy for its strategic efforts to develop grassroots football.
Looking Ahead: Kigezi HomeBoyz Academy Soccer Clinic
The academy also announced its upcoming Soccer Clinic, set for Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the Al-Madinah Stadium, starting at 9:00 AM. The clinic will cater to children aged 5 to 21 years and will feature professional instruction from senior team coaches, senior players, and invited experts.
Parents are encouraged to attend and cheer on their children as they engage in this enriching football experience. The soccer clinic promises to provide a platform for skills development, talent identification, and a memorable interaction with the senior team.
