Kigezi HomeBoyz FC is thrilled to announce the appointment of Stephen Pritchard, a highly experienced Scottish tactician, as the new Head Coach. Pritchard has signed a one-year contract, effective immediately, that will see him lead the club until at least December 2025.
He succeeds Coach Tushabe Denis, who has been elevated to the role of Technical Director, in a move aimed at solidifying the club’s technical setup and positioning Kigezi HomeBoyz FC as strong contenders for Uganda Premier League (UPL) promotion.

Immediate Responsibilities
Coach Pritchard joins Kigezi HomeBoyz FC at a pivotal time. The club currently sits 11th on the FUFA Big League table, narrowly above the relegation zone due to a better head-to-head record against Ntungasaze FC. His immediate goal is to guide the team out of this precarious position, starting with two crucial fixtures this week: Buhimba UTD Saints FC (home) on Tuesday and MYDA FC (away) on Sunday.
Speaking on his appointment, Pritchard said:
“I’m excited to return to this great club and work with a talented squad. We have immediate challenges, but I’m confident we can finish the first round in the top seven and build momentum for UPL promotion in the second round.
Pritchard will work with Madoi Aggrey as his immediate assistant, Muhwezi Brian- Fitness Coach & Sunday Barnabas as the Goalkeeping Coach.
The Vision Ahead
With a focus on turning around the team’s fortunes, Pritchard’s appointment marks the beginning of a bold new era for Kigezi HomeBoyz FC. The club is confident that his vast experience and tactical acumen will pave the way for a successful campaign and a breakthrough to Uganda’s top-flight football.
